From
Center City Philadelphia
Take 1-95 North to the Woodhaven
Exit. Take Woodhaven Road west for two miles and get in the left
lane and make the turn on to Evans Street. Go the the light and make a
right on to Byberry Road. At Worthington Road Byberry jogs left,
continue on Byberry past Bustleton Avenue. Turn left on Philmont Avenue
(WaWa on the right.) Follow Philmont avenue and make a left turn
on to Huntingdon Pike (Rt.232 S). Take the jug-handle on your
right for Welsh Road. After crossing back over Huntingdon Pike,
Gloria Dei is the first driveway on your right.
From New Jersey
Take the Walt Whitman, Benjamin
Franklin, Betsy Ross or Tacony-Palmyra Bridges to Pennsylvania and get
on 1-95 North to the Woodhaven Exit (Follow the Center City directions
from here.)
From Philadelphia's Western
Suburbs
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East
to the Willow Grove Exit. (Follow the PA Turnpike directions from
here.)
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Take the Willow Grove Exit and bear
right on to Rt. 611 North. The second light turn right unto Blair
Mill Road, and at the next light turn right onto Horsham Road. At the
next light turn left onto Old York Road (Rt. 263). Two quick lights and
turn right onto Byberry Road. Follow Byberry Road and turn right on to
Huntingdon Pike (Rt. 232 S) until you pass the Welsh Rd/Philmont Avenue
intersection. Take the jug-handle on your right for Welsh Road.
After crossing back over Huntingdon Pike, Gloria Dei is the first
driveway on your right.
From Northeast Philadelphia
Take Route 1 (Roosevelt Blvd.) to
Grant Avenue. If you a traveling north turn left on to Grant
Avenue and continue past Bustleton Avenue and Krewstown Road. Bear
right at the first traffic light after Krewstown road, which is Welsh
Road, go past Verree Road, Pine Road and Packard Avenue. Follow the road
as it bears left and the entrance to Gloria Dei Church is on the left
across the street from a sign that reads "Gloria Dei Additional
Parking".
From Bucks County
Take Second Street Pike (Rt.232)
South. Second Street Pike becomes Huntingdon Pike after County
Line Road. After the Welsh Road/Philmont Avenue intersection, take the
jug-handle on your right for Welsh Road. After crossing back over
Huntingdon Pike, Gloria Dei is the first driveway on your right.
From the
Schuylkill Expressway / Roosevelt Boulevard
From Schuylkill
Expressway take the Roosevelt Boulevard exit, and
continue North in the center lanes past Cottman
Avenue and turn left on to Rhawn Street. Follow
Rhawn until you cross railroad tracks, then the road
bears to the right slightly and becomes Huntington
Pike. Follow Huntington Pike past the hospital on
the left and look for Welsh Road on the right. Turn
Right on to Welsh Road, Gloria Dei is the first
driveway on your right.
