Four year old fun
May brings the culmination of our school year with children working to
master writing of first and last names, finishing the alphabet,
continuing with more phonic awareness and learning our addresses and
phone numbers. We continue to prepare the children for kindergarten with
readiness concepts.
This month also brings growing plants, insects, caterpillars, ladybugs,
spring walks and Mother’s Day.
The Librarian from the Huntingdon Valley Library visited some our
classes this year and read stories and donated a copy of “Up Down and
All Around” as part of PA. program that was available.
This is the time during the end of the year when special projects are
being worked on by the children to give to their parents as keepsakes of
their preschool experience.
Our end of the year celebrations are spent either having a picnic, pizza
or special snack. Songs are sung and farewells are said as the children
move on to kindergarten.
You will receive progress reports for a final time as well as your
child’s portfolios during the last week of school.
Good luck in Kindergarten, stop in to visit, we love when our friends
come back to see us!
